The TAH is a cross-portfolio leader responsible for co-creating and executing medical strategy across ACC countries to improve patient outcomes and customer experience.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the TAH will develop deep insights into health systems and engage key stakeholders to drive innovation and partnerships. The role focuses on advancing healthcare delivery through Real World Evidence (RWE) and Precision Medicine, ensuring strategic alignment and execution by Medical Field teams.

The TAH partners with commercial counterparts to ensure accountability for medical strategy and customer experience. This role also leads change management, talent development, and competency growth within the team.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Translate the global therapeutical area strategy, content, and solutions into local strategic plans and measures.
  • Provide inspiring and strategic leadership to the medical team, ensuring role clarity, strategic alignment, and collaborative integration of insights.
  • Lead development of cross-functional disease area strategies to identify unmet needs and prioritize opportunities.
  • Drive execution of brand launch plans through agile, cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee commercialization planning and evidence gap tracking.
  • Collaborate with partners to address high-priority evidence gaps and generate impactful medical evidence.
  • Build strong external relationships to inform portfolio strategy and business growth.
  • Represent the medical team in strategic planning and portfolio reviews.
  • Co-lead strategy development and foster a culture aligned with organizational aspirations.

Essential Requirements: 

  •  University degree in life science is mandatory, physician (MD) or science areas.
  • 5+ years of multidisciplinary work experience in the diagnostic, pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industries, of which 3+ years include leading and managing teams.
  • Training/experience in Epidemiology, RWD, Clinical Pharmacology and/or Administration is preferable.
  • In depth experience with customer/marketplace management, key dynamics and current knowledge of key competitors and their likely strategies within the therapeutic area.
